How to Achieve Your Body Goals

Whether you want to get a leaner body or gain more flexibility, working out with a specific goal will help you achieve your goals. The goal will provide motivation and will also help you track your progress and maximize your workouts. To achieve your goals, create a SMART goal. S.M.A.R.T. stands for Simplified, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-Based, and Teamwork.

First, make a list of short and long-term goals. For example, if you want to lose weight, you should set a target weight, as well as a target number of calories burned. A good way to track your progress is to create a positive environment in which you’ll encourage yourself to succeed. Set short-term goals and monitor them regularly. When you achieve these short-term goals, you’ll feel more motivated and successful, and you’ll be able to make adjustments to your plan.

Second, try to avoid becoming too sedentary. Using your muscles to move will improve your posture and relieve chronic pain. Walking at lunchtime or substituting a sedentary lifestyle for your workday will also help you get more exercise than you’re doing now. Also, if you have a car, walk instead of driving it. Eventually, your goal will become a reality and you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to make the time.

Third, set a realistic goal. Make your goals relevant to your life and lifestyle. For instance, if you want to get into shape, you should aim for 20 push-ups on your toes. This goal will improve your life, while a goal to get stronger would be useful if you’re expecting a child soon. A goal with meaning will encourage you to stick to the plan even when you’re not feeling like it.
